COVID-19

The current global pandemic continues to affect all walks of our lives and skiing is no different.  At All Mountain Snowsports, the health and well-being of our instructors and our clients is our first priority. We understand you’ll have concerns about how you can safely ski in the French Alps this year.

Our Director, James, works in the Southern Hemisphere’s largest ski resort between June and October each year. In 2020 they had a successful ski season without a single confirmed case of Covid-19 in resort. The lessons learnt there have been crucial to how we’re adapting our lessons and policies for winter 2020/21 in the Portes du Soleil.

FAQs

There are currently no restrictions on entering France. For those returning to the UK from France, there is currently a 14 day home-quarantine period upon return. Accurate as at 4th October 2020.

Please see guidance on “What to Expect in Resort” below.

COVID-19 COVER
Special Terms & Conditions Applying to Winter Season 2020/21 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Cancellation

The following special cancellation policy applies to new bookings for winter season 2020/21 and supersedes our standard cancellation policy, in the event of COVID-19 related cancellation outlined below.

Pre-Season

Clients can cancel their lessons for ANY reason and receive a full refund with no administration fee prior to 11th December 2020.

During the Season

Clients will receive a full refund of their booking total, less a 25% administration fee upon cancellation, if at the time of the lessons booked:

  • You are prevented from travelling to France due to contracting COVID-19 and being required to self-isolate (we will require a medical certificate in this instance).
  • You are prevented from travelling to France due to government travel restrictions imposed by either your home country or France, in response to COVID-19.
  • You are prevented from skiing due to national or local government forcing total resort and lift closure in response to COVID-19.

Our standard terms and conditions apply for cancellations or changes in bookings unrelated to COVID-19. Refunds will be processed once the week of your ski lessons has passed.

Refunds will only apply where the above affects the dates of your lessons booked. eg. if you choose in January to cancel your lessons booked for March due to travel restrictions, and restrictions are subsequently lifted in time for your booking dates, then our standard cancellation policy will be applied.

The special cancellation policy applies only to new bookings for winter season 2020/21. It does not apply to any rescheduled bookings.

Client Obligations

We continue to implement a range of policies and protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including to follow social distancing and other directions and guidelines, in order to maintain the health and safety of our instructors and clients. It is the responsibility of our clients to stay up-to-date with current COVID-19 health and travel guidelines.

It is a condition of your booking that you follow all directions and requirements in place to maintain health and safety during and outside of your lessons, including, but not limited to: Providing a COVID-19 health declaration, upon request; Adhering to social distancing requirements; Consenting to us providing personal and/or health information to health authorities where we are required to do so by law or where the authority has a legal right to request such information to assist with contact tracing;

You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to follow and observe all directions and requirements in place to maintain health and safety during our lessons, and that we have no liability for any failure to do so.

You acknowledge and agree that, despite measures and actions taken to maintain health and safety during our lessons, we are unable to prevent or avoid all risks relating to COVID-19 in the mountain environment and you accept personal responsibility and liability for any and all risks relating to COVID-19 whilst in our lessons.

Our special terms and conditions would not apply in this instance – our standard terms and conditions would apply.

Private lessons, kids lessons and adult group lessons are all available. Our maximum class size in group lessons is now 4 persons. You can book these, as usual, by emailing info@allmountainsnowsports.com

To ensure safe operations this winter, we are taking two distinct and equally important approaches: protocols to keep instructors and clients safe, and communicating expectations of clients to keep themselves and others safe.

We will operate within the government regulations as and when they evolve relating to COVID-19.

All of our instructors are trained in COVID-19 safe operating procedures. Instructors will not be permitted to attend their lessons if they:

  • Are showing symptoms of COVID-19
  • Have been in close contact with a person known or suspected of having COVID-19 in the last 14 days
  • Tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days

It is the responsibility of our clients to stay up-to-date with current COVID-19 health and travel guidelines. Please see our guide, “Skiing and COVID-19 – What to Expect” for guidance on safer skiing in France this winter. We request that clients who are feeling unwell do not attend their lessons.
